PILA builds the power of immigrants to take action on issues that impact their communities through three main strategies:
- Capacity building: Increase the capacity for organizations serving immigrant communities to develop grassroots immigrant leadership and to involve immigrants in the electoral process.
- Field building: strengthen the fields of organizational capacity building, leadership development and immigrant civic and voter participation by sharing lessons and tools from PILA’s local capacity building programs with organizations nation-wide.
- Strategic Alliances: Develop and participate in strategic alliances that connect PILA’s local work to broader impact and support grassroots immigrant involvement in state and national policy formation.
